I am attaching an updated article on the PBD. There is a brief section on the Speakers. The Premiers of NSW and SA have already confirmed that they will be speaking at the event. Other prominent speakers include Senator Lisa Singh and Mr. Anand Satyanand, Former Governor General of New Zealand. We have a number of prominent speakers listed in the article.
There will be musical recitals by Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma on the Santoor and Ms. Mita Pandit (Hindustani classical vocalist). There will also be a performance of Bollywood dance by the Shiamak Davar Group and performances of different schools of Indian classical dance as well as talks on Yoga and Ayurveda. This is in addition to the areas mentioned earlier like skills, education, manufacturing, services, resources, infrastructure, agriculture, youth, media and women in business, etc.
Please advertise the event amongst the Indian community and amongst mainstream Australia which is involved in the India-Australia relationship. Please emphasise that the registration is pegged at one-third the cost due to sponsorships and includes lunches and dinners as well as cultural performances.
We are getting emails enquiring about registration. It has been decided that all members of the National Organising Committee and State Committees will pay the early bird registration amount for attending the conference i.e. A$325/- (including GST). Accommodation can also be booked at the Conference website.
Please register early as we have to close registration at 1000 delegates due to our budgetary limitations.
