Charity Projects

This is our charity wing organised by BJSM-NSW who have formed a Charity organisation called “Bihar Jharkhand Sewa Madhyam” and we endeavour to raise money for projects to help people in Bihar. We work closely and in tandem with Bihar Government to achieve and recognise our efforts.

PROJECT: We welcome any project idea from the BJSM members in Australia and New Zealand and can be listed on the website to raise funds for it. The listed projects are initiated by one of the BJSM members in Australia/New Zealand. The initiator becomes the ‘Project Manager’ for that particular project and is required to raise 1/4th of the project amount himself to the get the project listed for entire BJSM community to contribute. The Project manager is also responsible for successful execution of the project.

INTEGRITY: We organise different events to raise funds for these projects. These events would mostly be some of the Bihari festivals/occasions and ALL the money raised (including the tickets) will go towards the charity without deducting any costs/overheads. All the expenses towards organising the event will be raised from the members or the sponsors.

TRANSPARENCY: All the contributions received will be reflected on the website unless the donor wishes to go ‘Anonymous’. All the members and donors will be provided with regular updates/reports (at least monthly) on our functionality.

ORGANISATION: Our organisation will hold regular meetings to update members and would appoint office bearers as decided by members during general meetings. Till our upcoming AGM, the activities of the organisation are being managed by 4 members: Abhijeet Martand, Anup Sinha, Murari Singh and MK Singh.

CURRENT PROJECT: Establishment of a RO (Reverse osmosis) plant at the cost of $4000 (approx.) at Rannuchak, Bhagalpur, Bihar. Project Manager of this project is MK Singh who already has raised around half of the required amount himself and looking to raise another half during our upcoming events. (Makar Sankranti and Saraswati Puja). Project details is attached here.
