BJSM SYDNEY will like to welcome each of you to 2016 festival season. It’s an exciting time as we continue to grow & bring Bihar & Jharkhand community together.

India’s Holi Festival Welcomes Sydney Autumn With Vibrant Bursts Of Color.

The Holi festival commemorates the victory of good over evil, brought about by the burning and destruction of the demoness named Holika. This was enabled through unwavering devotion to the Hindu god of preservation, Lord Vishnu. Holi got its name as the “Festival of Colors” from Lord Krishna, a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu, who liked to play pranks on the villagers by drenching them in water and colors. Holi, India’s joyous festival of colors is one of the most anticipated celebrations in the Hindu calendar.

It goes without saying that it has been possible with the passionate efforts of all of you – especially our volunteers who took upon the massive responsibility of preparing for the event besides managing their personal responsibilities. Even the gloomy weather could not dampen the spirits of our teams. Let’s join hands in thanking them sincerely.

Some of the key highlights of this year’s Diwali Milan were – our samaj’s commitment to make a difference in the lives of kids back in Bihar/Jharkhand, the event hosted at a truly Grand venue, passionate involvement of more volunteers, program management conducted by our young team, mesmerizing dance, musical performances, motivational drama engaging kids and adults and the list goes on.
